This policy explains what information Civic Sentinel collects, how it is used, and the choices you have over your data.
1. Information we collect
We collect the information you provide when you create an account — such as your email address and profile details — and information generated as you use the platform, including API keys, alert destinations, and subscription records.
2. How we use information
Information is used to operate the platform: to authenticate you, deliver alerts, process API requests, and maintain the security and reliability of the service.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Sessions and authentication
Authentication uses signed tokens stored in your browser. A session remains valid until you sign out or the refresh token expires, at which point you are returned to the signed-out state automatically.
4. Data sharing
We share data with infrastructure providers strictly as needed to operate the platform — for example, messaging providers used to deliver alerts to the destinations you configure. These providers are bound to handle data only on our instructions.
5. Data retention
We retain account and operational data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account, after which associated data is removed except where retention is required for legal or security reasons.
6. Your choices
You can update your profile, revoke API keys, and remove alert destinations at any time from your console. For questions about your data, contact your workspace administrator.
