Terms of Service
Last updated May 2026
These terms describe the rules for using the Civic Sentinel platform, including the dashboard, developer APIs, and messaging integrations.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using the Civic Sentinel platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using the platform on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.
2. Use of the service
Civic Sentinel provides monitoring, alerting, and developer API tooling. You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with any usage limits applied to your account or API keys.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including activity performed using API keys you issue.
3. API keys and access
API keys are scoped credentials. You are responsible for keeping keys confidential and for revoking any key you believe has been compromised. We may rate limit, suspend, or revoke access that threatens the stability or security of the platform.
4. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. Sessions remain active until you sign out or your refresh token expires. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials.
5. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, add, or remove features, and may revise these terms. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
6. Limitation of liability
The platform is provided on an “as is” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Civic Sentinel is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
